Improving the efficiency of warehouse staff with a real-time WMS-integrated mobile application to view package recovery information and status updates, and add exception tickets for re-routing.
Our unicorn start-up client is a tech-enabled express logistics company providing hassle-free delivery services for businesses of all sizes across Southeast Asia. We developed a mobile application that assists warehouse workers with package recovery, providing them with information on packages, giving them the ability to update package details, add exception tickets for packages that deviate from the standardized package delivery process, and update the status of packages efficiently.

How can we reduce the time warehouse managers are spending using a web interface to check the status of warehouse packages?
Our logistics client aimed to assist warehouse workers by developing a mobile device that could scan packages quickly. The device would provide information on the packages and allow the workers to update package details, add exception tickets for packages that deviate from the standardized package delivery process, and update the status of packages efficiently.
CodeLink worked with our client as an autonomous team and collaborated with key stakeholders in designing and developing the mobile application.
Our client engaged CodeLink for a 6-month project to build the entire mobile application. Our client was very pleased with the technical implementation of the components and design system, so they had our CodeLink Flutter developer work on another key internal product to migrate the same components and design system.
The CodeLink design team began by creating a mobile interface that followed the client's design system. They ensured that the display and size of components had clear levels of hierarchy to allow on-the-move workers to quickly see the most important information. Using Flutter, our CodeLink developer built a multi-platform mobile application that worked on iOS, Android, and Android-based mobile scanning devices. The mobile application fed back to the client's main ticketing system for parcel exceptions via API, with a focus on speed and performance, given the variation in network connection quality in different areas of the warehouse. Our client then rolled out the mobile application across all warehouses, eliminating the need for workers to carry a laptop device and significantly reducing the time it takes to check parcels.
